Atomic emission spark spectrometer, PDA-7000

Shimadzu (Japan)

Description

Spark Atomic Emission Spectrometer

The PDA-7000 provides fast (within 15 seconds) and precise analysis of conductive samples — ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The device allows simultaneous determination of up to 64 major and trace elements, ranging from fractions of ppm to several percent.

In particular, it offers the ability to determine nitrogen in steel with a detection limit of 2 ppm, and rapid determination of carbon, phosphorus, and sulfur at the ppm level across various matrices.

Vacuum Monochromator

To eliminate absorption effects of spectral lines of elements such as C, P, S, B, and N by atmospheric oxygen, the monochromator operates in a vacuum or gas-exchange environment. Shimadzu uses a vacuum monochromator resistant to temperature fluctuations, installed in a temperature-controlled chamber to ensure highly stable measurements.
