Description
LD 3000 AF is a fully automatic hardness tester designed for Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, and CHD testing methods in accordance with ASTM and ISO international standards. It measures surface hardness thickness and determines the case hardness depth (CHD) from 0.12 mm to 2 mm without destroying the sample or separating material types.
This innovative system dramatically reduces testing time and cost compared to traditional Vickers and Knoop cross-section polishing methods. The load forces are applied through strain gauges and controlled electronically in a closed-loop system (ATI patent).
Equipped with a large touchscreen interface, the LD 3000 AF allows for easy test planning, data visualization, and automatic CHD graph generation. All results can be saved together with the test session in a large archive. The user-friendly interface includes conversion tables and correction factors for cylindrical or irregular surfaces.
Applications:
Non-destructive case depth measurement for all metals, including cast iron, steel, hardened steel, brass, aluminum, copper, and metal alloys. Suitable for components after heat treatment, hardening, nitriding, carburizing, and surfacing.
