Description

Wally is a specially designed wireless system for measuring the positioning accuracy of the rotary axis.

The setup compares the motion displayed on the machine controller with the actual motion measured by the equipment. Accurate angular backlash positioning and repeatability are essential for maintaining high machine quality.

Wally introduces new capabilities for measurement and calibration. It serves as an optional accessory for the HPI-3D laser interferometer, providing maximum measurement and calibration accuracy of the rotary axis in automatic mode.

Rotational measurements are fully integrated into the HPI-3D software, eliminating the need to learn new software. Its independent installation from the HPI-3D unit simplifies setup — alignment takes only a few minutes.

The integrated lithium-ion battery provides up to 30 hours of autonomous operation. Only with proper measurements is accurate machine calibration possible.
