The TOC-4200 analyzer is designed for continuous monitoring of total organic carbon (TOC) in water streams within industrial and environmental systems. The instrument performs automatic measurements in multiple channels simultaneously (from 1 to 6), providing stability, accuracy, and low maintenance costs.

Principle of Operation

The TOC-4200 utilizes Shimadzu’s proprietary low-temperature catalytic oxidation method at 680 °C. This approach prevents the vitrification of inorganic salts inside the reaction tube, significantly extending the service life of both the catalyst and the reactor. The resulting gaseous products are analyzed by a sensitive detector, ensuring high-precision measurements even at low organic carbon concentrations.

The instrument complies with international standards and supports long-term continuous operation in automatic mode, making it an ideal choice for water treatment plants, as well as the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
