Description
Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzer TOC-L CSN employs Shimadzu’s proprietary thermocatalytic oxidation method at 680 °C. Unlike systems operating at 900 °C, oxidation at 680 °C prevents glass-like salt deposits from forming on the catalyst. Under these conditions, salts form a porous residue that is easily rinsed away, ensuring long catalyst and reactor tube life.
This temperature is sufficient to completely oxidize any organic molecules, allowing rapid and precise determination of organic compounds in water over a wide carbon concentration range — from 4 µg/L to 30 000 mg/L. The TOC-L series efficiently analyzes various sample types, from ultrapure water to heavily contaminated wastewater. The TOC-L CSN model features dual control, making operation even more versatile and user-friendly.
